Fieldston Lodge Center is looking for Professional, Caring, Energetic and Eager RNs to be apart of our team.

Fieldston Lodge is a true home away from home, situated in beautiful Riverdale, nestled in a scenic park overlooking the Hudson River and the Palisades. Fieldston Lodge provides 24-hour care along with many other services to ensure you or your loved one will receive the highest quality of care. Fieldston Lodge Care Center is a 200 bed skilled nursing facility providing both long and short term care.

We are currently seeking Full Time/ Part Time and Per Diem RNs for all shifts.

Job Description:

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
• Reports to the Site Manager.
• Starts IVs.
• Administers IV /Oral Beta Blockers and monitors the patient.
• Maintains daily Crash Cart/medication Logs.
• Completes Monthly Logs.
• Reviews Schedule/Orders.
• Promotes patients’ independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scop of practice of the registered nurse.
• Promotes patients’ independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Good visual and auditory acuity as well as good manual dexterity and the ability to be readily understood are essential.
• Must be able to work in an environment with multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
• Demonstrates competency in the performance of job related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service.
• Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations.

Requirements:

·         Must have effective communication skills, both verbal and written

·         Must be creative and have good observations and analytical skills

·         Education Requirements for a Registered Nurse (RN)

·         New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing

·         Must be a willing to work together as a team to ensure the goals at hand are achieved.

Qualifications:

·         New Grads welcome

·         Ability to work every other weekend

·         Excellent customer service skills

·         Committed to working assigned schedules with the ability to be punctual and have a good attendance record
