Field Service Technician Full Time Detroit Metro Area, Livonia, MI, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 1246 Material Handling & Plant Services / Rhino Tool House Service About the Role We’re looking for a Field Service Technician to join our growing Service team. This role combines Material Handling equipment installs & inspections with Plant Services , including the installation of conveyors, lifts, carts, and CTEK equipment. Ideal for a machine builder with strong mechanical aptitude who is eager to learn and grow into advanced material handling and automation systems. What You’ll Do Install, assemble, and inspect material handling equipment (cranes, jib cranes, lifts, etc.) Install conveyors, carts, lifts, and other plant service equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation drawings Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on every job Document service reports and communicate with customers and internal teams Travel regularly to customer sites (regional/national) What We’re Looking For 3+ years’ experience as a machine builder, millwright, or service technician Strong mechanical skills; ability to learn new equipment quickly Experience with conveyors, lifts, carts, or cranes preferred Basic electrical/controls knowledge a plus Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel extensively Strong communication and customer service skills Why Rhino Tool House?
