SUMMARY AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
The Retail Supervisor is an entry-level manager who has authority over Retail Budtenders and their day-to-day performance. The Retail Supervisor's job is to give instructions to Retail Budtenders and take responsibility for their progress. They are responsible for the entire retail department and shifts. Retail Supervisors help ensure maximum productivity from the employees they manage as well as assist with managing employee schedules and employee payroll. Retail Supervisors oversee employee performance issues and discipline. Retail Supervisors ensure the store operates safely for the customers. In interacting with customers, the Retail Supervisor will usually deal with customer complaints and other feedback, have communication with vendors, and manage loss prevention. Additional Supervisor roles may include the opening and closing of the store, supervising the stocking of shelves, and ensuring the store is presentable and clean for shoppers. The Supervisors oversee coworkers; ensuring they comply with company policies, safety policies, and compliance regulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Keeping up with communication and knowledge posted on Slack
- Managing the workflow of their employees, creating team schedules, and delegating tasks
- Assessing the work performance of their employees and identifying areas that need improvement
- Ensuring that business goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met
- Communicating with retail staff to maintain traffic flow, minimize wait times, and maximize customer sales and satisfaction
- Assist with the training new hires to make sure they understand their roles
- Maintain inventory of supplies and request orders as needed
- Assist in inventory tasks as delegated by Inventory Manager
- Clean the store and ensure products are properly displayed at all times
- Maintain the organization of sales stations and dispensary through daily upkeep
- Advise customers concerning particular products or services
- Monitoring attendance, tardiness, and time off
- Handling customer issues and managing conflicts
- Adhering to company policies and health, safety, and employment standards
- Supervising employees and assisting with tasks as necessary
- All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- High school diploma or GED
- A valid State issued Driver's License
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar, supervisory role
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Must successfully pass a drug test for all substances non-cannabis
- Accurate data entry and record-keeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and email and internet applications
- Knowledge of customer marijuana policies, law, compliance, and regulations
- Ability to maintain a consistent teamwork mentality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, challenging, and busy environment.
- Conflict resolution skills
- Basic math skills
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- 3-5 Years' experience in a similar role
- Experience and/or training in de-escalation and conflict resolution
- Ability to workdays, nights, holidays, and weekends in rotating shifts
TECHNICAL SKILLS :
- Ability to solve problems in a timely manner and deal with a variety of variables to arrive at solutions when no defined set of guidelines may exist
- Ability to listen to and consider diverse ideas and opinions and to make recommendations based on a combination of factors and information

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to identify, analyze and resolve issues
