Certified Athletic Trainer (Contract Role)

Thrive School Athletic Trainer Position

Thrive is a school unlike any other one of the first boarding schools in the country serving at-risk students. The mission of Thrive is to empower students from underserved Louisiana communities and prepare them academically and personally for success in college and beyond. Thrive aims to reach this goal through a world-class school in a boarding setting. Serving grades seven through twelve, Thrive will provide the students and families of Louisiana with a never-before-seen service a free public boarding school. By combining the best educational methods with a 24-hour supportive environment, Thrive seeks to provide students with a place to learn where nothing can get in the way.

Type: Contractor Position (part-time, afternoon & evening hours)

Contract Rate: Commensurate with experience and amount of agreed upon time providing services - up to $20K)

Responsibilities

• Injury Prevention: Create risk-reduction programs and apply protective tapes/braces for student athletes
• Emergency Care: Provide immediately first aid if injuries occur
• Diagnosis & treatment: Assess conditions like sprains or concussions and help guide recovery
• Rehabilitation: Lead exercises to help athletes regain strength and range of motion

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited athletic training program
• Certified
• Licensed
• Prior experience with high school athletics/teens is preferred
