HR Generalist

Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on and motivated HR Generalist to support the day-to-day human resources operations of our U.S. entity. This role will cover a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, HR operations, policy implementation, benefits administration, and recruitment. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who is looking to grow into a broader HR leadership role over time. The role will work closely with senior management, with clear guidance and direction provided, while progressively taking on more ownership as the organization continues to scale. Key Responsibilities HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, system updates, and employee communications Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and day-to-day HR matters Policy Implementation & Compliance: Assist in implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state (especially California), and local employment laws Compensation & Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), HSA/FSA, etc. Talent Acquisition: Support full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation Cross-Functional & Cross-Border Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders across HR, Finance, and Operations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 4–7 years of HR experience, preferably in biotech, life sciences, or a growing organization Solid understanding of U.S. employment laws, especially California labor regulations Hands-on experience in HR operations, employee relations, and benefits administration Experience with HRIS systems (ADP TotalSource preferred) Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while collaborating in a cross-functional environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in a startup or scaling environment Exposure to cross-border or global organizations HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus What We’re Looking For A hands-on, execution-oriented HR professional who is willing to roll up their sleeves Someone who is adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working in a growing organization A team player who is eager to learn, take initiative, and grow into a broader HR role over time #J-18808-Ljbffr Hongene Biotech Corporation
