Echocardiographer

This position performs a variety of diagnostic cardiac and vascular exams under the direction of a physician. The role involves identifying abnormalities that lead to patient diagnosis. Responsibilities include performing ultrasound procedures that utilize high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis. The candidate will prepare the exam room, obtain informed consent, and request clinical history as necessary for the exam. Reviewing patient history is essential to determine proper selection of protocols. The candidate will explain the method of examination and position the patient accordingly. It is important to assess the patient's status and needs, completing appropriate diagnostic techniques and tests to ascertain ongoing conditions. The necessary interventions must also be performed as required. Candidates will review and evaluate completed tests for quality and completeness to ensure quality images. Coordination of the preparation of images, exams, and necessary documentation for physician partners is required. Documentation and communication of patient-related information must be thorough and accurate. The candidate should inform patients of physicians' instructions or concerns from caregivers to provide appropriate care. Meeting the needs of patients, families, and the multi-disciplinary team requires effective communication, coordination, and documentation. Ensuring safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency is essential. Clear communication during handoff between shifts is required to maintain continuity of care. Monitoring equipment reliability and safety is crucial, along with promptly reporting issues or repairs. Candidates will order and stock supplies and clean rooms and equipment to maintain the work environment. Transports patients as needed and actively participate in quality initiatives, including patient satisfaction and workflow. Promoting the mission, vision, and values of the organization is essential, along with adherence to service behavior standards. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Regular attendance is required to perform work on site during scheduled shifts.
