Staff Accountant I

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant I to support our Accounting Department. This role is responsible for assisting with accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, cash management, general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end close processes. The Staff Accountant plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the organization's continued success.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Prepare and review financial statements and support schedules for accuracy.
• Support the consolidation and reporting of financial data across subsidiaries.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
• Coordinate payroll data and work with the outsourced payroll provider on bi-weekly payroll processing.
• Prepare and provide information for outsourced sales tax reporting and filings.
• Complete general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist with weekly cash forecasting.
• Support the Controller with special projects and other accounting initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, including general ledger reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.

Compensation

This position is available at multiple levels. While the full salary ranges are provided for transparency, new hires are not typically brought in at the top of the range. Starting pay is generally determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, internal equity, and market considerations. The full salary ranges for each level are:

• Staff Accountant I: $24 - $32.50 per hour
• Staff Accountant II: $32.50 - $38.00 per hour
