They are seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team and support accurate, transparent financial operations that make meaningful educational work possible.This Staff Accountant role is ideal for someone who enjoys independent, detail-oriented work while collaborating with colleagues who share a commitment to equity, inclusion, and community impact.Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant role:Manage accounts payable, invoice approvals, ACH, and check paymentsReconcile assigned general ledger accounts and maintain prepaid schedulesSupport accruals, fixed asset tracking, and banking activityProcess employee reimbursements and purchasing card transactionsAssist with sales tax, 1099s, unclaimed property filings, and audit supportPartner with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely, accurate processingQualifications for the Staff Accountant:Working knowledge of GAAP and strong attention to detailProficiency in Excel and experience managing multiple competing deadlinesClear communication skills and a customer-service mindsetGrowth mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentBachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, or equivalent experienceThis is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position operating in a hybrid work environment with regular onsite collaboration in Seattle, WA.
