CPLC is committed to empowering individuals through health & human services, housing, education, and economic development. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE? As a Family Assistance Program Specialist , you will provide general emergency assistance and resource navigation to low-income households throughout Arizona. You will support individuals and families experiencing crisis by helping them access utility, rental, funeral, and other available assistance. You will also participate in community outreach events, engage with youth and families, support workshops and events, and assist eligible individuals in accessing state resources and other services. You will ensure applicants receive accurate guidance throughout the application process while maintaining a strong understanding of program eligibility requirements, application procedures, relevant policies, and available community resources. In this role, you will support the Project Lead in implementing grant deliverables and participate in youth, individual, and family programming that helps achieve contract and grant goals. You have strong communication and organizational skills and can provide excellent customer service while handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism. You can work independently while also collaborating with a high-performing team. You are proactive about identifying community resources, outreach opportunities, and partnerships that help expand access to services. You are also comfortable balancing direct client support, administrative responsibilities, outreach activities, and program documentation. Minimum Qualifications And Competencies Education /Background: Bachelor’s degree or at least two (2) years of experience working with low-income population preferred Excellent communication skills, customer service and organizational skills are necessary Bilingual in English/Spanish required High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, and partner organizations Ability to foster diversity and open communication within teams and programs Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work individually as well as part of a high performing team Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software, and web-based computer programs Successful co-facilitation experience preferred Reliable transportation Able to attend outreach events to grant service areas as planned What does CPLC offer YOU as a valued employee?
