Job Description
Surgical RN - Operating Room / PACU

Schedule

On-call requirement of 2 days per week, including holidays and weekends. Weekend on-call shifts are 3 x 24-hour shifts per month. Pre-approved time off must be requested up-front. Orientation is 24 hours.

Assignment Details

RNs are expected to circulate and recover patients in the Operating Room and PACU.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Endoscopy experience required.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver preoperative and postoperative care to patients across the lifespan, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and provide care during procedures.
• Perform tasks related to operating room and recovery room protocols.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support staff.
• Respond effectively in emergency situations, including code responses.

Compliance / Notes

A compact state license must be in hand at the time of submission. Background checks are required, and 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years are needed. All requests for time-off must be submitted upfront during the application process.
