Registered Nurse - Surgical Services

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 5 days a week, from 07:00 to 15:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for both circulating and recovering patients in a rural hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in various surgical procedures and will be required to be on-call for two days each week, including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for patient care in the Operating Room and PACU.
• Assist with ambulatory surgeries including appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and hernia repairs.
• Provide code response and cardiac monitoring as required.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including respiratory services and pharmacy.
• Maintain compliance with fire safety and surgical standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of charge experience in surgical services.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS certification preferred.
• Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred.
• Active compact state RN license must be in hand at the time of submission.
• Endoscopy experience is required.
