Assistant Buyer - Purchasing
Full-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to support purchasing operations and ensure timely delivery of materials for production schedules. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to maintain efficient purchasing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Issue requests for quotations and negotiate pricing, delivery, and quality
  • Prepare price comparison and delivery control sheets
  • Expedite material delivery to meet production schedules
  • Coordinate with QA for FAI, PSI, and related activities
  • Monitor receipt of materials and process rejected/damaged/shortage items
  • Issue Purchase Orders using SAP or other systems
  • Track invoices and report to Purchasing management
  • Perform document control functions (filing, copying, etc.)
  • Serve as a liaison between purchasing, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Greet visitors and provide hospitality
  • Japanese-English translation preferred
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing or related field
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; SAP experience a plus
  • Ability to manage small vendor accounts
