Job Description
Respiratory Therapist

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and self-sufficient Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This position requires strong expertise in adult, pediatric, and neonatal respiratory care, as well as experience with ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP systems.

Shift Details

Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
Schedule: 6 days on, 8 days off
Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy
Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive respiratory care for patients of all ages, including emergencies
Maintain proficiency in the use of respiratory equipment and protocols
Function independently, as the sole therapist on duty for 12-hour shifts

Skills Required

Experience in Emergency Room (ER), Medical/Surgical (MS), Pediatric, Neonate, and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings
Proficient in the use of ventilators, Vapotherm, and BiPAP/CPAP therapies

Skills Preferred

Experience in critical access hospitals

Special Requirements

The ideal candidate will be confident and capable in delivering respiratory care autonomously during their shifts. Applicants must be open to accommodating a block schedule of 6 on, 8 off.

Charting System

This position utilizes Cerner for charting and documentation.

Location

This role is located in a facility situated in a city within the state.
