Details Acute specialty unit with 35 beds and a patient ratio of 4-5:1 Patient population includes ortho, oncology overflow, bariatrics, sickle cell, and pancreatitis cases RN is expected to read telemetry Common medications include general meds, heparin, and protonix drips Utilizes skills such as traction, EKG, PCA, and feeding tube management Uses Epic EMR Night shift schedule from 6:45pm-7:15am 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift, totaling 36 hours per week Every other weekend required Requirements Active RN license (KY or Compact) required Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient telemetry RN experience required Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required Epic EMR experience required Additional Information Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care Provides patient and family education specific to care needs, treatment, and discharge planning Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and may serve as a mentor or preceptor Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives Complies with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model American Traveler Job ID P-747127.
