Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Evening Shift (3x12 Hours, 13:00–01:30) | 13-Week Assignment (10-Week Minimum)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department, with a significant portion of the patient population consisting of admitted and ED holding patients
• Administer medications, including IV medications, following the seven medication rights
• Document and communicate clinical findings accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 in the Emergency Department setting
• Float to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; optional floating to Pediatric ED; potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma based on experience
• Work scheduled weekend shifts as needed, including Saturday and Sunday (days) and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (nights)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state license may be pending at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (1.5 years may be considered on a case-by-case basis)
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required prior to submission (NIH may be pending until compliance document due date)
• RQI certifications are not accepted; standard certification equivalents required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (non-local candidates only; non-local driver's license required on file)
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve & New Year's Day

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred; candidates with 2+ years of Level I Trauma experience may be considered without travel experience
• Level I Trauma center experience preferred given the high-acuity nature of the department
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system
• Familiarity with ED holding and admitted patient workflows
