Neonatology Physician

All Star Healthcare Solutions is partnering with a Virginia healthcare facility seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) for ongoing locums coverage.

Position Highlights

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• Shift Length: 16-hour shifts
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Facility: 135-bed acute care hospital
• Practice Model: Collaborative care environment with Neonatologists and OB Hospitalists

Provider Requirements

• Active Virginia license required (IMLC not accepted at this time)
• Current APRN national specialty certification
• Minimum Masters Degree in Nursing
• At least 1 year of recent clinical experience

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Neonatologists during daytime hours
• Provide in-house nighttime coverage with Neonatologist backup available within a 30-minute response time
• Attend deliveries
• Support and educate RN and RT staff as patient volume and acuity increase

NICU & Facility Overview

• 8-bed Level III NICU
• 10 Labor, Delivery, Recovery (LDR) couplet care rooms
• Average daily census of 911 patients across the NICU and nursery
• Approximately 1,250 annual deliveries
• Dedicated in-house OB Hospitalist program
