The Corporate Protection Officer will provide professional, static security services at a corporate office in Washington, D.C. This role is responsible for securing the primary point of entry, maintaining a safe and controlled environment, and delivering a high level of customer service to employees and visitors. The agent serves as the first line of defense and first impression of the organization - requiring a balance of security expertise, situational awareness, and professional presence. The Corporate Protection Officer will provide professional, static security services at a corporate office in Washington, D.C. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide static protection and other security-related duties for the client at a designated site.
- Effectively managing office staff to ensure safety and security precautions are maintained.
- Respond to emergencies and perform adequate medical first aid operations.
- Deescalate tense situations or individuals that arise during the conduct of a mission.
- Communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns promptly.
- Effectively communicate with clients and management through incident reports and other administrative tools.
- Conduct area patrols in and around the site and report suspicious activity.
- Operate and maintain protective, operational, and communications equipment.
- Promptly identify and escalate deficiencies/failures and security gaps.
- Assist with intelligence and other duties within the office.
- All other duties, as assigned.
- Strong customer service mindset with a professional, polished demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- High level of situational awareness and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to de-escalate conflicts and manage difficult individuals
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently
- Strong integrity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Qualifications and Education
- 5+ years of security experience (corporate, high-end, or executive protection environments preferred).
- Experience in access control, front desk security, or corporate environments strongly preferred.
- DLCP Guard Permit (Required).
- DLCP Armed Card (Preferred).
- D.C. Concealed Permit (CCW) (Preferred).
- High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
Position Type, Schedule and Salary
- Regular Full-Time (RFT), non-exempt position.
- Monday through Friday.
- 8-hour shifts (daytime coverage).
- Salary: $45.00 per hour.
- Located in Washington, D.C.
