We are seeking a Lead Superintendent to oversee a diverse portfolio of small and special projects in the Charlottesville, VA market. Position Overview

The Lead Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities for small-scale and special projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively coordinate subcontractors, communicate with stakeholders, and drive project success from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction operations for multiple small and special projects
• Manage project schedules, sequencing, and daily coordination of subcontractors
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
• Collaborate with Project Managers, clients, and design teams
• Oversee site logistics, materials management, and inspections
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively to maintain project timelines
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation
• Mentor field staff and promote a positive, team-oriented jobsite culture

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
• Proven experience managing small-scale or special projects (renovations, tenant improvements, fast-track work, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety regulations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency with construction technology and reporting tools
