Medical Laboratory Technician II (MLT II) LaboratoryJoin our collaborative laboratory team serving diverse patient populations across Farmington and Bonne Terre hospital labs. In this role, you will process and analyze specimens from inpatient, outpatient, clinic, long-term care, and external facilities while performing instrument maintenance, calibrations, and quality control procedures. Bonne Terre is a Rural Emergency Hospital providing emergency services and outpatient services including medical observation, lab, radiology, and sleep study.The laboratory provides outpatient diagnostic lab services as ordered by the physician, who is working to provide quality treatment for the patient’s condition.The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) II (REG) performs specimen processing and routine/complex testing on blood and other specimens which requires a knowledge and understanding of quality control, basic instrument maintenance, and procedure methodologies and reference ranges. Maintains appropriate documentation of all activities as required. Demonstrates good laboratory practice.Responsibilities:Reports and maintains record of patient test results through the laboratory computer system accurately, meeting published turn around times for routine testing and stats.Documents patient test management problems/concerns on quality documents and initiates corrective action.Performs quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary. Monitors quality control performance and corrects any problems and or reports any problems to the appropriate department.Operates all instrumentation in assigned areas to deliver precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results.
