Employment Information 2026-27 school year; 194 work days (216 day teacher calendar) Start Date July 8, 2026 (New Teachers) Salary link Certified Future Requirement for K-5 Literacy Endorsement (unless you hold a Reading K-8, Reading K-12 or Reading Specialist K-12 endorsement) Timeline: Teachers who were certified on or before 8/1/2025 have until 8/1/2028 to obtain the literacy endorsement. Teachers who certify after 8/1/2025 will have 3 years from certificate issuance to obtain the literacy endorsement. Teachers who graduate from AZ colleges in 2025 should have completed the coursework and should have the certificate on their licenses.
