POSITION OVERVIEW

As aMedical Assistant at MedNOW, you'll play a vital role in delivering top-qualitycare and ensuring every patient's experience is positive and seamless. You'llwork side-by-side with our providers and clinic team to perform both clinicaland administrative duties - from rooming patients and taking vitals toassisting with procedures, managing documentation, and keeping the clinicrunning smoothly.

Thisposition provides valuable clinical exposure and professional experience forstudents enrolled in Pre-Med, Pre-PA, or Pre-Nursing programs .

WHATYOU'LL DO
• Provideexcellent customer service and compassionate patient care
• Collaboratewith providers and clinical staff as part of a supportive team
• Reviewdaily schedules, prepare patient charts, and confirm visit details
• Collectmedical history, vitals, medications, and other key information
• Performpoint-of-care testing (urine, rapid tests, EKGs, screenings, etc.)
• Administerand document medications and immunizations accurately
• Assistproviders with exams and minor procedures
• Performphlebotomy and process lab orders
• Managemedication refills, referrals, and patient callbacks
• Maintainclean, organized exam rooms and ensure proper infection control
• Supportfront office operations as needed
• Accuratelydocument patient care in Athena EHR and communicate effectively
• Monitorand manage provider worklists ("buckets") in Athena
• Upholdpatient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Performother duties as assigned to support smooth clinic operations

QUALIFICATIONS
• Completionof an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
• 1-3years of hands-on clinical experience preferred
• CurrentBLS/CPR certification required
• Strongcommunication and organizational skills
• Experiencewith Athenahealth EHR strongly preferred
• Professional,empathetic, and patient-focused demeanor
• Highschool diploma or equivalent required

PHYSICAL& WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Frequentstanding, walking, and movement throughout the clinic
• Regularbending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and assisting with patient positioning
• Finemotor skills, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail required
• Exposureto clinical settings and infectious materials - adherence to safety protocolsrequired
