Programs are open to students from across campus with any academic focus of study. Position Overview We seek an experienced, energetic, independent, and detail‑oriented Communications Manager to lead marketing and communications for the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter. The role involves designing, coordinating, and executing a wide range of marketing/communications campaigns, including physical marketing material, website content development, social media, newsletters, and other awareness‑raising activities. Candidates must be proficient in writing, design, and project management, and must demonstrate ability to use traditional and electronic publishing technologies, plan and execute marketing/communications strategies, and adapt to an evolving organizational structure. Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that reaches students, campus partners, and off‑campus stakeholders. Develop marketing/communication materials from concept to execution including social media, printed flyers, website content, and newsletters. Communicate department information on various projects to internal and external stakeholders. Monitor effectiveness of marketing/communication tactics and adjust communication plans as necessary. In conjunction with Epicenter owners, develop, track, achieve, and report on short and long‑term goals. Routinely review and provide feedback on marketing materials and events. Support Sales team on development and execution of outreach materials for the housing application process and recruitment opportunities (e.g., tabling). Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor student marketing interns and ambassadors, providing direction on content creation, event promotion, and community engagement initiatives. Work with Epicenter Centers (Sorenson Impact Institute and the Center for Business, Health and Prosperity) as clients on a needed basis to market their needs. Work with marketing leadership to identify and develop compelling stories highlighting residents, student experiences, speakers, programs, and outcomes through written, visual, and multimedia content. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications One year of higher education can be substituted for one year of directly related work experience (e.g., bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). Required education and experience: Bachelor's (or equivalency) plus 4 years of directly related work experience, or Master's (or equivalency) plus 2 years of directly related work experience. Preferences Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three to five years of professional experience in marketing, communications, public relations, brand management, or a related field. Demonstrated experience developing and executing multi‑channel marketing and communications campaigns. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences. Experience creating content for websites, social media platforms, email newsletters, and print materials. Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, and social media management tools. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously. Demonstrated attention to detail, including editing and proofreading communications materials. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
