Operations Paralegal

Summary We’re looking for an Operations Paralegal to join our Personal Injury Operations Department. Successful candidates will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be flexible and adaptable under pressure, and will be responsible for overseeing multiple project activities and ensuring attorneys’ practices run smoothly. Responsibilities Accomplish strategic objectives by overseeing multiple project activities. Provide operational oversight of attorneys and use their respective calendars to schedule depositions, contact court, work with defense counsel to set dates, send out demands on time, and keep cases moving forward with little oversight. Audit attorney/staff tasks and establish, enable, and execute additional processes to keep operations proactive and efficient. Ensure attorney cases are filed within 90 days. Set deadlines for attorneys and follow up to ensure deadlines are met. Assist in the preparation and trial of lawsuits by ensuring attorneys follow all steps to push cases forward. Create SOPs for best practices in advancing personal injury cases. Conduct legal research, file management, and case progression activities. Prepare experts or other witnesses; coordinate pre‑trial and/or trial activities as required. Contact parties and witnesses regarding trial dates and coordinate with attorneys about appearance and testimony. Adapt, inquire, and creatively solve problems in an evolving space while maintaining balance. Contribute to team strategic initiatives and help build shared standards, processes, and a positive departmental culture. Communicate job expectations by planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions. Present a professional and helpful appearance. Assist in other areas of the department or other departments as required. Qualifications Comprehensive knowledge of legal terminology. 3–5 years of paralegal experience. Paralegal degree or certification from an accredited institute or equivalent experience. Knowledge of Florida law. Commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards; personal and professional integrity. Accurate, thorough, and keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communication. PC literate with a firm understanding of Microsoft Office. Diplomacy, pragmatism, and assertiveness. Impeccable organizational and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment. Salary Range: $90,000 – $100,000 USD per year.
