Seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Outside Sales Representative / Business Development Hunter to drive new business growth across the Houston market for an established, rapidly growing company specializing in fuel management and related services. This is a true new business development role focused on identifying prospects, opening doors, and closing new accounts. The company partners with businesses in the construction, transportation, and industrial sectors to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline fuel-related operations. The ideal candidate is a proven top performer who thrives in a competitive sales environment, enjoys prospecting, and has a track record of consistently exceeding sales goals.

Requirements

• 3+ years of successful outside sales or new business development experience, preferably selling B2B services.
• Proven hunter mentality with a track record of acquiring new customers and consistently exceeding sales targets.
• Demonstrated success in prospecting, developing new territories, and closing business rather than primarily managing existing accounts.
• Experience selling into construction, transportation, equipment rental, industrial services, or commercial fleet operations preferred.
• Fuel industry experience is a strong plus but not required.
• Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to communicate value and overcome price objections.
• Proven ability to negotiate, close deals, and develop long-term customer relationships.
• Self-motivated, competitive, organized, and comfortable working independently in a field-based environment.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with CRM systems and accurate sales activity documentation.
• Must reside in the Greater Houston area and be comfortable traveling throughout the assigned territory.
• No college degree required.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business throughout an assigned Houston territory, targeting companies that operate diesel-powered equipment, commercial vehicles, and fleets.
• Identify and pursue prospective customers across construction, transportation, equipment rental, logistics, and industrial markets.
• Build a strong sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, referrals, field prospecting, and other business development activities.
• Target businesses consuming approximately 1,500+ gallons of diesel fuel per month.
• Take a consultative, value-based sales approach to understand customer operations, identify inefficiencies, and demonstrate the financial and operational benefits of onsite refueling.
• Overcome pricing objections by communicating the value of reduced downtime, improved productivity, and fuel management efficiencies.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying opportunities through proposals, negotiations, and closing.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual new business development goals.
• Maintain accurate prospecting activity, customer information, and sales forecasts within the company CRM.
• Collaborate with operations and internal teams to ensure successful onboarding and service delivery for new customers.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $80K+, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates.
• Year 1 OTE: Approximately $110K.
• Year 2 OTE: $120K$130K+, with significant upside for top performers.
• Uncapped Commission: Strong earning potential as new business production grows.
• Annual Company Performance Bonus: Target of 10% of base salary, based on company performance.
