Job Details Specialty: Labor & Delivery (LDRP care experience preferred) Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Location: Jefferson, NC 28640 Start Date: 09/21/2026 End Date: 12/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,920 - $2,020 Orientation: Provided before start Charting Systems: Centricity and Meditech Magic Unit Environment: Small, low-volume department with higher-acuity and high-risk obstetric cases Weekend Coverage: Based on department needs Floating: Expected to be open to floating within/near the facility as needed Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience Experience with fetal heart monitoring and maternal-fetal assessment Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced, and FHM certifications Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a small L&D department Comfort providing care for both mother and baby in an LDRP setting Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment and support unit needs Open to floating when needed NC or Compact RN license may be pending at submission Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns Monitor fetal heart tracings and respond appropriately to changes in patient status Support deliveries and assist with high-acuity obstetric and maternal-newborn cases as needed Deliver patient-centered care in a unit that values strong clinical independence Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure smooth coordination across mother-baby care Document accurately in the unit’s charting systems Provide flexible support to additional areas of the facility when floating is needed Maintain professional standards and contribute to a positive patient experience Why Consider This Travel Nursing Opportunity?
