Surgery Scheduler, OPA Lake Otis Anchorage , FULL TIME Orthopedic Physicians Alaska Salary Range: 19.00-30.00 hourly Complimentary orthopedic and primary care at OPA and PCA Medical and dental insurance coverage beginning within 30 days Life insurance Disability insurance 401K Profit sharing Employee Assistance Program Paid time off starting at three weeks per year Competitive pay and annual compensation reviews Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Your Role at OPA: As a Surgery Scheduler at OPA you will greatly contribute to the team by ensuring patient surgical needs by working collaboratively to ensure patients are scheduled for surgical appointments. What You’ll Do: Primarily works with surgeons, medical staff, and patients to obtain a surgery date and schedule all components of surgery Answer patient calls and follow up with patients Able to handle multiple interruptions during the day while maintaining a high volume of surgery orders Why You’ll Excel in This Role: You thrive in a fast-paced work environment and can handle multiple tasks at once You have outstanding customer service skills You work well in a team environment You have experience operating a personal computer using a variety of software applications You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year of clinical experience Ability to understand medical charts and diagnosis for billing purposes Experience using an electronic health records (EHR) software At OPA, you will enjoy opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment and exposure to a full range of orthopedic care with orthopedic, injury walk-in, and rheumatology clinics, an imaging center, athletic training and physical, occupational and massage therapy.
