Step into an engaging role supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher in a rewarding contract position. You’ll be working a consistent schedule from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, providing expert instruction and tailored support to a caseload of approximately 20-25 students. This resource-based position offers you the chance to make a tangible impact within a collaborative high school environment, working alongside dedicated staff members.

Your expertise will shape the academic and personal development of students with special needs, helping them achieve their individual goals during the Full School Year (FSY) assignment. The interview process is conveniently conducted remotely, making the hiring experience accessible and efficient.

Qualifications:

• Valid Indiana Special Education teaching license (IN SPED)
• Previous experience teaching high school students preferred
• Strong knowledge of best practices in special education
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide differentiated instruction in a resource setting for high school learners
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and related service professionals
