Nurse/Care Manager for Catholic Retirement Home Salary: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 Annually Application Deadline: Sep 12, 2026 Health Services Job Title: Nurse/Care Manager Hours : 9am-5pm Monday through Friday, on duty one weekend per month (two weekdays off to compensate for weekend work) Status : Exempt Reports to : Healthcare Director Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide clinical care and support to the Franciscan priests/friars living in our small private assisted living home (7-12 residents), while also promoting their independence, comfort, and quality of life; Responsible for regularly monitoring residents’ health status; updating individualized care plans; and overseeing medication management; Will work with team to communicate with outside physicians, home health agencies, pharmacies, and other providers to ensure the best care for the friars; Ensure that all staff have appropriate training and respond appropriately to changes in condition, falls, and hospitalizations; Supervise the personal care aides to ensure safe, respectful assistance with ADLs and IADLs, providing direct assistance when needed; Ensure that all staff are attentive to each resident’s individual needs; Administrative responsibilities include: maintaining accurate clinical documentation, participating in admissions and care transitions, and reinforcing infection‑control and safety practices. Serve as a supportive, reliable presence during daily life in the friary, including at meals, while accompanying friars to appointments, and on occasional visits to friars who are hospitalized or admitted to a skilled nursing/rehabilitation facility. Qualificati ons: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in senior living, long‑term care, or a related setting, with increasing responsibilit Experience in a supervisory or leadership role (e.g., assistant administrator, department manager) strongly preferred with strong clinical judgment skills. Familiarity with basic infection control and safety standards. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills.
