Job Summary Department/Unit: Otolaryngology (Hearing Center) Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $77,075.00 - $119,466.00 Responsibilities Examine, test, diagnose, and administer remedial treatment for patients with hearing impairment. Provide appropriate evaluation and counseling to all patients. Perform amplification evaluations with special attention to the total hearing health and communication needs of the patient. Maintain active and supportive communication with patients and other concerned parties regarding progress, problems, home programs, and other issues related to the therapeutic process. Ensure all documentation is timely, present, and complete, consistent with departmental, institutional, and third‑party/regulatory requirements. Perform internal and external public‑education functions. Demonstrate initiative, collaboration, and strong teamwork skills in delivering patient care. Exercise judgment in the analysis of facts to determine appropriate actions in accordance with standard policies and practices. Organize resources effectively and prioritize tasks to perform work efficiently amid frequent interruptions. Show compassion and courtesy with coworkers, patients, families, and the public when dealing with difficult or high‑pressure situations. Participate in other departmental and institutional activities as assigned. Qualifications Required professional licensing and adherence to the NewYork State Professional Licensing Standards and Practice Guidelines of the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association.
