Special Education Teacher - Chicago, IL

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential required
• Prior experience in an elementary special education environment preferred
• Knowledge of cross-categorical service delivery and IEP development
• Strong skills in providing behavioral, communication, sensory, and adaptive supports
• Commitment to fostering inclusion, engagement, and skill-building in a supportive classroom environment
• Excellent organizational and collaboration abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, individualized instruction for third-grade students with diverse needs
• Implement visual supports, sensory strategies, and structured teaching techniques
• Utilize evidence-based behavioral and social-emotional interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress toward IEP goals
