Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 18:30–07:00 | Weekend rotation with every other holiday | Extended assignments up to 26 weeks and 4x12 schedules may be available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department serving both adult and pediatric populations
• Float to other units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias and heart blocks
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate patient and family-centered care
• Pass a mandatory telemetry competency exam prior to start, meeting strict passing criteria for both adult and pediatric components

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications – AHA only – required
• Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three (3) years
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start; travelers have up to three attempts, with a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course required before a third attempt is granted — failure to pass after three attempts will result in assignment cancellation
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation in an emergency or acute care setting
• Familiarity with both adult and pediatric emergency nursing protocols
• Prior travel nursing experience with the ability to adapt quickly to new environments
