Location: San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, Seattle, Hoboken, NYC, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, McLean, Philadelphia Overview Our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team is growing exponentially, and as a Manager you’ll play a key role in that growth by communicating creative, strategic goals both internally and externally. You will be working across all industries, listening to and understanding clients to give them a truly exceptional experience in a field where there are no off‑the‑shelf recommendations. Key Responsibilities Drive client engagements that require complex accounting and financial reporting solutions. Think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop answers to complex issues. Collaborate with colleagues across multiple service lines, building relationships and identifying opportunities for clients. Travel regularly to meet with key clients, some of the most respected in their fields. Skills and Attributes for Success Consulting with clients on complex accounting issues. Collaborating with partners, senior managers, and clients to influence strategy, balancing risk and client expectations. Ensuring the Engagement team thoroughly understands clients’ unique needs, ambitions and expectations. Building relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated service. Managing performance and identifying opportunities to improve products and processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business discipline and 5‑8 years of experience as an auditor in a public accounting firm. US CPA licensure in your work state. Strong technical writing skills and advanced risk management knowledge. Deep understanding of the marketplace, commonly used terminology, processes and tools. Proven record of excellence in managing, mentoring and improving a high‑performing team. Confidence to research and resolve emerging client issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies. Willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. Reliable transportation to and from the EY office and client sites (driver’s license strongly recommended). Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in accounting, finance or business discipline. External audit experience at a Big 4 accounting firm. Benefits Comprehensive compensation and benefits package, base salary range U.S. $112,700 – $206,500, with higher ranges for certain metro areas. Hybrid model – most external roles expected to work in office 40–60 percent of the time.
