Step into a pivotal role where your compliance and risk expertise strengthens how we operate—enabling innovation while protecting our customers, colleagues, and the firm.As a VP Control Manager within the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) organization, you will help lead and build an enhanced control framework that supports a continuous and integrated approach to risk assessment. You will partner across CCB and second-line functions to drive top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection and escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation—continuously improving the control environment.Job responsibilitiesSpearhead the design and execution of control strategies to proactively identify and mitigate compliance and operational risksDrive an integrated, continuous approach to risk assessment, including top-down risk analysis and monitoringStrengthen issue management practices, including real-time detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation trackingLeverage data analytics, automation, and technology to identify trends, translate business needs into insights, and improve the control environmentPartner with internal stakeholders across CCB, Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Risk to align priorities, ensure transparency, and deliver outcomesLead and develop a high-performing, inclusive team and culture focused on innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvementRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills7+ years of experience in financial services, including controls, audit, quality assurance, compliance, and/or operational risk managementDemonstrated ability to design, enhance, and operate control frameworks, including escalation and issue management practicesStrong understanding of risk management concepts and the policy/procedural and regulatory environment relevant to banking operationsProven analytical capabilities: ability to synthesize complex information, identify root causes, challenge assumptions, and communicate risk insightsData literacy and comfort using analytics and automation to improve reporting, monitoring, and control effectivenessStrong stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior, cross-functional partners; ability to explain complex topics clearlyPeople leadership skills, including coaching, inclusive team leadership, and strong written/verbal communication and presentation skillsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsExperience supporting fraud, cybersecurity, and/or technology-related operational risk and control initiativesExperience implementing control automation and/or applying machine learning/advanced analytics concepts in risk and control contextsBackground in consumer banking and/or large, matrixed organizations with global stakeholdersRelevant certifications (e.g., CIA, CISA, CRISC, CAMS) and/or advanced degree a plusHaving The Series 99 - Operations Professional exam.Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America’s households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
