Production Operator III

Job Summary Production Operator III (Open) – Spokane, WA. Shift: 11:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Pay: $23 – $28.50 plus shift differential. Responsibilities Support safe handling and filling of pure medical grade gas products into high‑pressure and liquid gas cylinders in compliance with federal, state and local regulations and Airgas SOPs. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment for material handling, sorting and loading or unloading of cylinders on/off pallets and tractor trailers. Inspect cylinders prior to filling, performing standard procedures such as odor tests, caps and valve checks, and verifying cylinder labels, color‑coding and contents. Analyze gas products for purity and correct mixtures, handle high‑pressure gas and liquid cylinders, and prepare high‑pressure cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling. Attach cylinders to manifolds and evacuate to eliminate contaminants; fill cylinders by pressure and weight according to regulations and standards. Coordinate and organize paperwork for DOT, FDA, OSHA and Airgas standards; complete quality control sheets as required. Respect hazards of various gases, maintain safe handling of hazardous materials, and label cylinders accurately. Maintain a neat, clean and orderly plant appearance. Adhere to attendance and safety expectations, acting with care, adaptability and trust within the Be, Act, Engage employee performance framework. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Must be able to operate a forklift safely and maintain appropriate certifications. Must be able to work with a wide variety of people, in a drug‑free workplace, and wear required personal protective equipment. Ability to work independently, under pressure to meet deadlines, and occasional overtime. May be exposed to noise, vibrations, hazards, temperatures ranging from -10 to over 110 °F, and physically demanding tasks including lifting 50 +pounds to 100 +pounds. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
