Tasting Room Associate

Job Description:

Carhartt Family Wines is an established, family-owned winery in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley of Santa Barbara County, is looking for a Tasting Room Associate to join our team here in Los Olivos.

We are seeking candidates with sales experience, a basic knowledge of wine, and most importantly, exceptional customer service skills. Strong communication and time management skills, the ability to multi-task, as well as a positive, enthusiastic attitude are also imperative. Though experience in the wine/restaurant/hospitality industries is desirable, it is not required.

Compensation:
We offer a very competitive compensation and incentive program. Our hourly pay rate is $16.90/hour. Additionally, servers can earn commission for selling Wine Club memberships and full bottle sales. Tips are voluntary and can vary but our staff has been earning $40 - $60 per hour, on average, over the past year.

We consider ourselves the best in the business when it comes to a tasting room experience. We like the guest to leave feeling as if they have learned something new, gained a friendship with the staff, and found a "must go" tasting room every time they visit Los Olivos.

REQUIREMENTS
•  21 or older
•  Hold a valid driver's license
•  Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends
•  Passion for wine
•  Experience in wine sales a plus
•  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
•  Ability to stand, walk and manage multiple tables
•  Capable of lifting 40 pounds
