Schedule AM Shift: 07:00 – 19:30, 3 × 12-hour shifts per week. Job Description The Med-Surg Float Pool Nurse provides comprehensive patient care across multiple medical-surgical units, adapting quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows. Nurses are expected to function independently, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and uphold all hospital policies and safety standards. Responsibilities Provide patient care within various inpatient medical-surgical units. Float between multiple units as needed based on patient needs and unit requirements. Adhere to all policies regarding attendance, documentation standards, and medication safety protocols. Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 on standard Med-Surg units, with variations based on unit acuity. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience. Current BLS and NIHHS certifications are required; ACLS and TNCC are preferred.
