Vendor Payment Support Specialist
Scranton, PA | $20-$23/hr | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
⏳ Temporary Assignment (1-2 Months) | Immediate Start
We are seeking a Vendor Payment Support Specialist for a short-term project supporting the Accounts Payable team during a vendor payment system transition.
This is primarily a customer service-focused role with an Accounts Payable background. The selected candidate will be answering vendor questions, researching payment status, and assisting vendors with the transition to a new electronic payment platform. This position does not process invoices or approve payments.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to vendor calls and emails regarding payment status and payment-related questions
- Research payment information using SAP and other systems
- Assist vendors with registration and enrollment in an electronic payment platform
- Document inquiries and follow up on outstanding issues
- Escalate payment concerns to the appropriate internal teams when needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience in Accounts Payable, Finance, vendor support, or payment operations
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to research and troubleshoot payment inquiries
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- SAP experience preferred
