Friendship Village is seeking a Full Time Groundskeeper to work with our Maintenance team performing general grounds maintenance and some maintenance and upkeep on buildings and apartments for our senior residents. As a Groundskeeper you will be responsible for tree trimming, lawn care, snow removal, other landscaping duties and general building maintenance.

Working Hours:

Hours will vary depending on the season but primary hours are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday to Friday with rotating weekend coverage. Our facilities are open 365 days a year, so candidates must be flexible and willing to work any hours including weekends or holidays on an on-call basis as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Prior grounds keeping experience required
• Able to safely operate landscaping equipment without restrictions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Residents, Staff and Guests.
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. There is a frequent need to stand, stop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.
