Location: Detroit, MI
Hours:  Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Hybrid:          100% onsite initially until fully trained, then transition to 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

Position Overview:   Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support their Team during a large-scale Oracle system transition. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within supply chain operations, purchasing, and inventory management. The role is heavily focused on administrative support, purchase order management, and ensuring critical order processes continue uninterrupted while manual work streams remain in place.

This role is a contract role with possibility of going permanent based on work performance and needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of purchase orders.
• Work within Oracle to acknowledge and confirm purchase orders.
• Monitor purchase order confirmations from vendors and ensure responses are received within the required 48-hour turnaround timeframe.
• Send follow-up emails to vendors when purchase order confirmations are missing.
• Escalate unresolved confirmations, pricing discrepancies, or vendor issues to the appropriate internal contact.
• Release orders within Oracle and track issued purchase orders.
• Perform manual data entry into spreadsheets for third-party distributor orders.
• Support ad hoc administrative and data entry tasks to ensure daily business operations run smoothly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with Oracle is highly preferred.
• Exposure to inventory, purchasing, replenishment, supply chain, or order management processes is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and performing repetitive, high-volume data entry tasks.
• Ability to prioritize work, follow established processes, and escalate issues appropriately.
