Telemetry Registered Nurse

The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in telemetry. The unit typically involves acute and swing bed patients. Common diagnoses include pneumonia, rehab, COPD, CHF, pancreatitis, and GI bleed. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3-6. All RNs are required to read their own telemetry strips. No clinical involvement is expected in this role. RNs will be responsible for setting up and being competent with Bipap, Cpap, and HFNC equipment. There is one CNA per shift to assist with personal cares, vitals, and weights. There are no tele/monitor technicians on the unit. RNs may be part of the code team and are expected to collaborate effectively with team members. The ideal candidate should possess traits such as dependability, caring nature, knowledge, and flexibility. There is no call or standby requirement. RNs are expected to float to other units as necessary. Self-scheduling is possible, with weekend and holiday requirements being every other time. Scrubs of any color are required. This unit promotes a positive culture and teamwork.
