Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Pharmacy Technician to join a leading, technology-driven pharmacy operation focused on enhancing patient care through automation and efficient prescription fulfillment. In this role, you will support the accurate processing, dispensing, and distribution of prescription medications while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations, quality standards, and pharmacy best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter patient demographics, prescription data, and insurance information into pharmacy processing systems.
• Process new patient registrations and maintain accurate patient records.
• Resolve insurance billing issues, claim rejections, and third-party payment discrepancies.
• Research and troubleshoot incomplete, missing, or inaccurate prescription information.
• Interpret medical terminology, prescription abbreviations, and SIG codes.
• Escalate clinical and prescription-related questions to licensed pharmacists as needed.
• Handle inbound and outbound communications with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
• Support prescription fulfillment activities through the use of automated dispensing and packaging systems.
• Operate pharmacy equipment to sort, count, label, package, and prepare medications for shipment.
• Monitor workflow and inventory movement throughout various fulfillment stages.
• Identify operational issues and communicate concerns to leadership when appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines, pharmacy regulations, and quality assurance standards at all times.
• Resolve data-entry exceptions and ensure prescription records meet accuracy requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician experience or certification preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to learn pharmacy systems, medical terminology, and insurance billing processes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-based environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.

Work Environment

• Fully onsite position located in Bolingbrook, IL.
• Work within a highly automated, high-volume prescription fulfillment center.

Schedule

Overnight Shift Options:

• Option 1: Monday-Wednesday, 9:00 PM-7:00 AM and Thursday, 4:30 PM-2:30 AM
• Option 2: Monday-Wednesday, 9:00 PM-7:00 AM and Saturday, 2:30 PM-12:30 AM

Training Schedule (First Week):

• Monday-Thursday, 4:30 PM-12:30 AM

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bolingbrook, IL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
