MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and professional Kids Excel Manager to join our Cape Girardeau Daycare team! Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Educational Institution; Master's Degree preferred.
• Must have training in First Aid, CPR (certification required), Blood Borne Pathogens, and complete ongoing training directed by the Daycare Licensing Board.
• Must be able to work with a diverse group of children, staff, and co-workers between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.
• At least 2.5 years of direct daycare supervisory experience is required.
• Must be physically and mentally capable of performing the demands of the position.
• Strong verbal and written skills with knowledge of Missouri Daycare and/or educational requirements to maintain/retain center certification is required.
• Experience working with nontraditional and/or adult learners preferred.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, positive, educational environment for students and their children.
• Maintain a working knowledge of CARF and the Daycare Licensing Board requirements.
• Monitor performance against all state licensing requirements.
• Monitor performance against all state licensing requirements, including staff continuing education, hours, to ensure facility maintains accreditation.
• Develop and sustain active partnerships with funding sources and a variety of outside programs.
• Create and support creation of lesson plans schedules, and academic activities for children at the daycare.
• Ensure adequate staffing that meets ratio requirements through scheduling, hiring, and supervising, and evaluating employees.
• Develop and implement guiding policies and procedures that are effectively communicated to all stakeholders.
• Maintain organizational priorities while nimbly adapting to changing circumstances.
• Maintain professional relationships with teachers, parents, students, and co-workers.
• Other duties as assigned.
