Registered Nurse Endoscopy/GI

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopy and GI procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes. Supervises and collaborates with the healthcare team to coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, applying clinical expertise and critical thinking.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patients health status and prepare them for endoscopic and GI procedures.
  
  
• 
  Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to patient needs and procedure requirements.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs and responses during procedures, intervening as necessary to maintain safety.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families about procedures, post-care instructions, and health management.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and support staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information, procedures, and outcomes accurately within the electronic health record.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least two years of recent nursing experience, preferably in endoscopy or GI care.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current BLS certification, and ACLS certification is required.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system.
  
  
• 
  Show ability to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care within a fast-paced environment.
