As the Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy you will apply subject-matter expertise and guidance to advance sales strategy & operations activities and leadership decision making. Serves as a bridge between commercial strategy and execution by translating business needs into actionable insights and operational solutions.

This role is onsite / hybrid, based out of the Edwards Corporate Headquarters in Irvine, CA.

How you'll make an impact :

Strategic Planning & Execution

• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Partner with Commercial Operations leadership to define and execute annual and long-range strategic priorities.
• Translate executive objectives into measurable action plans, governance structures, and performance metrics.
• Drive execution of high-priority business initiatives and ensure cross-functional accountability.
• Monitor progress against strategic goals and proactively identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Lead special projects and enterprise initiatives on behalf of Commercial Operations leadership.

Executive Leadership Support

• Prepare executive briefings, business reviews, leadership-level materials, and strategic presentations.
• Facilitate leadership team meetings, operating reviews, and business planning sessions.
• Drive decision-making processes by synthesizing data, stakeholder input, and business insights.
• Manage leadership communications and ensure organizational alignment around key priorities.

Organizational Effectiveness

• Establish operational rhythms, governance models, and management systems that improve execution efficiency.
• Improve cross-functional collaboration and remove organizational barriers to execution.
• Lead operating cadence processes including QBRs, MBRs, annual sales planning, and strategic reviews.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve organizational performance. Support integration of new technologies, processes, and organizational capabilities.

Business Performance & Analytics

• Partner with analytics and business intelligence teams to monitor critical KPIs and business outcomes.

• Develop performance reviews to support decision-making.
• Ensure leadership visibility into key business risks, opportunities, and emerging market dynamics.

Leadership Team Operations

• Own leadership team governance and meeting effectiveness.
• Track decisions, commitments, and executive action items to ensure follow-through.
• Facilitate alignment across functional leaders and support escalation management when needed.

What you’ll need (required):

• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria required
• Minimum ten (10) years’ progressive experience in sales operations; sales strategy; and /or sales business intelligence required
• Ability to travel up to 15% (occasional for QBR and Leadership Meetings)

What else we look for (preferred):

• Advanced proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, Oracle, JDE, MIDAS, Tableau, ELBIS, Salesforce.com, or QlikView preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, Copilot etc)
• Knowledgeable across sales operations, marketing, finance, and commercial data systems preferred
• Proven project management experience, with the ability to manage timelines, priorities, and cross-functional deliverables
• Professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and build effective relationships
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, connect insights across the business, and recommend practical solutions
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills, including the ability to move work forward when consensus is not immediate High level credibility, integrity, and a track record of delivering results
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels and escalate issues appropriately
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience supporting projects and partnering with project managers, sales strategy, and operations teams
• Ability to provide task-level guidance to outsourcing partners or external vendors.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $139,000 - $196,000 (highly experienced).
