Role Description The Director of Residential Services is a full-time, on-site leadership role located in Clarkston, MI, responsible for overseeing the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of residential services throughout the community. This role leads and supports residential staff, ensuring that assisted living and memory care programs meet regulatory standards, organizational policies, and the community’s commitment to Human Flourishing. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising daily operations, coordinating resident services and care plans, monitoring occupancy and room readiness, and collaborating with wellness, hospitality, and activities teams to provide a comprehensive experience. The Director manages schedules, trains team members, supports performance development, and maintains documentation and reporting to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. This role also partners with families, responds to concerns, participates in budget planning for residential services, and contributes to strategic initiatives that enhance resident satisfaction and engagement. Qualifications Background in Human Services, social services, or a related field, with a strong commitment to person-centered care and senior living. Supervisory Skills, including experience leading multidisciplinary teams, coaching staff, and managing performance in a residential or care setting. Program Management expertise, such as coordinating residential services, maintaining compliance, and overseeing day-to-day operational workflows. Program Development capabilities, including improving existing services, implementing new initiatives, and aligning programs with community goals and resident needs. Budgeting skills, including monitoring expenditures, supporting resource planning, and collaborating on financial decisions related to residential services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with residents, families, and team members. Knowledge of senior living, assisted living, memory care, and applicable state regulations; prior leadership experience in these settings is highly beneficial. Ability to prioritize, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment.
