School Psychologist

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. A school district near New Orleans, Louisiana is partnering with Soliant to find a school psychologist to join the Student Support Services Team. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in promoting students' academic achievement, social‑emotional well‑being, and behavioral success by providing psychological services, consultation, and evidence‑based interventions. If you are passionate about supporting diverse learners, collaborating with educators and families, and creating positive outcomes for students, we encourage you to apply for interview consideration. Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education services. Administer, score, and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, adaptive, and social‑emotional assessments. Prepare clear, comprehensive, and legally defensible psychological evaluation reports. Determine eligibility for special education services in accordance with IDEA and Louisiana Department of Education regulations. Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Provide consultation regarding student behavior, emotional regulation, and classroom supports. Deliver individual and group counseling when appropriate. Assist with crisis prevention, intervention, and post‑crisis support. Participate in multidisciplinary threat assessment and school safety teams as assigned. Serve as a trusted consultant to teachers, administrators, and support staff regarding student learning and behavior. Partner with families to explain assessment findings, discuss recommendations, and support student success. Participate as an active member of Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams and other student support teams. Collaborate with school counselors, social workers, speech‑language pathologists, occupational therapists, and community providers. Support Multi‑Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and other evidence‑based intervention frameworks. Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, Louisiana Department of Education regulations, and district policies. Candidates must have a Master's, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution. A valid (or pending) Louisiana certification as a School Psychologist or eligibility for certification is required prior to employment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
