About the Position

Job Title: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, ARDMS, CCI RCS, RDCS, CCI RCS or RDCS Must-Have: Left-handed scanner experience Clinical screening required prior to selection Description: Unit requires a left-handed scanner. Weekend coverage is necessary every other week. No on-call duty is expected for this position. Candidates may float within the facility and scope of practice as needed. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work. If two major holidays occur, the traveler must work both. If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work at least two. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Full compliance is required to start on time; late compliance may result in a two-week pushback. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Travel experience is required. Preferred experience includes Trauma Level I or II and Community Hospital exposure. Candidates should possess skills in adult acute care, outpatient settings, and various echo procedures. Experience with equipment such as GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba is ideal. Compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary within specified timelines. All requests for time off must be finalized before submission. No requests for time off can be accepted after an offer is made. Module completion is necessary as part of orientation, varying by specialty.
