Finish Turn Operator

Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Finish Turn Operator for our operation in Pittsburgh, PA. The Finish Turn Operator is a member of our Machining Department responsible for operating a CNC lathe to machine our forged rolls. Competitive wage starting at $23/hr. commensurate with experience, benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, Paid Time Off (PTO), additional paid relief days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, and this position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program, in which employees can earn up to an additional $3 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate lathe and controller
• Inspect forging/roll; report any deviation from specification
• Machine forging/roll to specification
• Preventative maintenance on lathe
• Perform other department duties, as assigned

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:

• Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. occasionally throughout shift
• Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
• Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous CNC or machining experience preferred but not required
• Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment and/or heavy machinery preferred
• Must be able to read/interpret blueprints
• Good math skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen

Classification: Hourly
