Business Manager (Chief Financial Officer) Campus Community School | Dover, Delaware Start Date: June 2026 Position Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Salary Range: $70,000 – $100,000 (commensurate with experience and credentials) About Campus Community School Campus Community School (CCS) is a K–8 charter school serving a small community of a little over 400 students and approximately 65 staff members. Position Overview Campus Community School is seeking a Business Manager to serve as the school's chief financial officer. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial, operational, and human resource functions of the school while ensuring full compliance with state and federal regulations. The Business Manager is a key member of the administrative leadership team and serves as an essential resource to the Board of Directors and the Citizens Budget Oversight Committee. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all state and federal financial and operational requirements Develop, manage, and analyze the school's budget across state, local, and federal funding sources Oversee all financial transactions, including revenue and expenditures Lead grant management, including tracking, reporting, and compliance Manage and oversee vendor contracts, agreements, and RFP processes Supervise payroll and human resource functions, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations Serve as a key member of the administrative team, contributing to strategic decision-making Provide financial insight and reporting to the Board of Directors and Citizens Budget Oversight Committee Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field OR at least 5 years of comparable experience Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in financial, operational, and human resource management Strong understanding of budget development and cost-centered financial management Experience with school or nonprofit accounting practices Demonstrated experience in grant management Knowledge of human resource practices and payroll regulations Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Preferred experience with Delaware FSF, PHRST systems, and Infinite Campus Previous charter school experience ideal What We Offer A collaborative environment where staff voice matters and teamwork is prioritized A strong culture focused on relationships with students, families, and colleagues Employment as a State of Delaware employee, including comprehensive state benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr Delaware-Schools-Consortium
