Duties and Responsibilities: Provide student instruction and teach courses (didactic and/or clinical) as assigned by the Program Director. Supervise students in didactic and/or clinical courses and activities. Assist with admission (e.g. application review, selection, and interviews). Assist in developing and coordinating course design and implementation within the didactic and/or clinical curriculum. Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of student performance. Provide academic counseling and advising of students. Participate in service to the department, college, University, and community. Perform other program and department level duties, as assigned. Assist in the evaluation process of the curriculum and the program. Assist in the development, review, and revisions (as necessary) the mission statement, goals, and competencies of the program. Minimum Qualifications Clinical Assistant Rank Minimum of a master’s degree in physician assistant studies, health related field, or medical degree. Applicants must have a doctorate and/or a master’s degree from an accredited institution. Physician Assistant applicants must be NCCPA certified. The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas ( TRS ), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
